Headmaster Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and Teaching Assistant Lupin did not step forward to stop the fight at that moment. Severus was not using magic to attack Black anyway, and a beating like this wouldn't kill him. It served him right for having a foul mouth; a good thrashing would teach him to mind his tongue. Besides, letting Severus blow off some steam was a good thing! Harry wanted to say something. He glanced first at Lupin, who shook his head at him, and then shook his head again at Ron, who was staring in terror with his hands clamped over his mouth. Both Harry and Ron were full of questions, but they could tell this was hardly the time to ask them.
