Chapter 17

894 words4 minutes read

Rhea teleported to the Walker family's vault, casually grabbed a puppet demon, modified it to look like Grindelwald, and planned to hand over the control to Grindelwald later. She also snapped off a branch from the magic dragon tree on a whim, intending to give it to Grindelwald as a gift. (Why was the puppet made so quickly, yet not given to him immediately? Because she didn't want to see Grindelwald twice in one day.) After Rhea left, Grindelwald finally snapped out of it. Overwhelmed by the shock of Albus's death, Rhea hadn't mentioned one of the minor secrets of their trade, and he had forgotten to ask about it. Damn it, she definitely did it on purpose. Whether Grindelwald was furious, Rhea didn't know; if she did know, she would probably just flash a wicked smile, because she *did* do it on purpose, waiting for her next visit to tell him. After taking what she needed, Rhea teleported to Diagon Alley. Today her teacher had to go to work, and Rhea had skipped going to Hogwarts under the pretext of wanting to stroll around Diagon Alley. Lies must never go unfulfilled, so Rhea came to Diagon Alley to shop and make her words come true—a perfect closed loop.
