When Sirius found Gloria, he saw her figure sitting by the edge of the Black Lake, her head lowered as she played with the ripples, occasionally teasing the fish in the water with various tricks. Sirius felt somewhat at a loss. He pulled a piece of blue paper from his schoolbag, took out a quill, and—come to think of it—he had originally kept these items on hand from occasional trips to the library with Lia, just in case she ran out of quills. He never expected them to come in handy at a moment like this. He fussed with them for a moment, drew his wand from his sleeve, and cast a charm. A blue rose drifted lightly toward Lia.
