Camelia and Severus arrived at Spinner's End at dusk. As soon as she stepped back into the old, dilapidated brick house, Camelisa put down her suitcase and slowly climbed the stairs, step by step, toward her mother's former bedroom. She had not set foot in this room since her mother's death. When she pushed open the door, the ancient wooden hinges emitted a teeth-setting screech, reminiscent of an old woman with no teeth left. The furnishings in the room were just as she had left them. It was evident that her father had never once stepped foot in his deceased wife's room, let alone entered it to remember her. Perhaps the only person who still remembered Emma was Camelias herself—though, in truth, she did not even remember her entirely, for to this day she still did not know her mother's real name.
