The Potions room in Greengrass Manor did not disappoint Severus. It was fully stocked with cauldrons of all kinds, knives for preparing potion ingredients, and shelves lined with various potions—though most of them seemed to have lost their potency long ago. "It seems the Greengrass family has truly declined, failing to produce even a single decent high-level potion." Severus merely glanced at the dust-covered potion shelves. Seeing the sporadic white floccules floating inside the potion vials told him instantly that these concoctions were either of abysmal quality or had been brewed so many years ago that they had long since degraded into useless sludge. "They never cared for such things. Perhaps they spent their every waking moment researching magical runes, much like Alaric. Yet in the end, they would all discover that without innate talent, it is ultimately in vain."
