After finishing lunch, Lily and the others went to visit Sirius. Madam Pomfrey said he had already woken up, but that he was terribly noisy, completely unwilling to lie still in bed, and constantly trying to run out of the Hospital Wing.
Lily offered a few words of comfort to Madam Pomfrey, promising to keep a good eye on her friend and make sure he behaved, before she was finally allowed in.
As the three of them walked into the Hospital Wing, they saw a great many sick students—the sudden cold wind of that day was to blame, and quite a few young wizards had woken up running fevers.
