Unpredictable weather and lingering illness made the past week feel exceptionally long for everyone.
Fortunately, these past events did nothing to dampen everyone's high spirits for the Quidditch final. The morning match was the classic showdown between Slytherin and Gryffindor—eternal rivals. Over the past couple of days, the mutual disdain between the two houses had escalated by several levels. Even a few groups of friends whose bonds had grown close through shipping them together briefly announced they would reconvene after the match.
