Since I had the idea of going out to buy slaves, I needed to plan for the future. I had to figure out a way to build some boats first, otherwise, there was no way to cross the river.
The corn wouldn't be ripe for another week or so, so I had these men figure out how to build some boats. I even drew diagrams of how to make them, but the timber wasn't dry, so they couldn't build anything. With no other choice, I had to put it aside for the moment, but I couldn't just give up. I told them to cut down some lumber right away and dry it out over small fires so it would season faster. That way, we could probably use it by the turn of the year.
Since everyone had some free time, we practiced our troop formations and ate like kings every single day.
