I had spoken quite sternly; if Tianjizi failed to answer well, it would ruin the reputation the Tianji Sect had built over generations.
Tianjizi, however, replied, "Junior Brother, your words are truly an exaggeration. What just happened has nothing to do with the Tianji Sect; those were my own personal opinions. If you feel it was inappropriate for me to intervene, I shall withdraw. From this day forward, I will never interfere in any of your affairs."
I let go of Tianjizi’s hand and said, "Senior Brother, let me offer you a piece of advice: do not preach kindness to others if you have never suffered their hardships. You have never known hunger, so you do not know the taste of it. You have never been threatened or hunted, so you do not know what true fear is."
