Wei Junhao was truly regretting his actions now. If he had known that Chu Xuan would return like a king—and with such ruthless brutality—he never would have colluded with the Zhao family, no matter what.
Chu Xuan looked down at Wei Junhao’s cowardly, pathetic display. As he clenched his fist, preparing to send Wei Junhao to hell, a thunderous roar erupted from behind him.
"You brat! Just try touching him!"
With that shout, the doors of the Yipinju were smashed open. Heavy, chaotic footsteps thundered closer, and a hundred men surged in like a tidal wave. The man leading them was none other than the head of the Wei family, Wei Junhao.
He was a hulking figure, his gaze exuding an air of natural authority that brooked no challenge. Seeing his father, Wei Junhao seemed to find a lifeline. His voice cracked with hysterical, tearful desperation: "Dad! Save me! This lunatic has destroyed the entire Zhao family!"
Seeing his son kneeling in such a wretched state, his face smeared with tears and blood, Wei Junhao’s fury roared to life. He glared at Chu Xuan, pointing a trembling finger at his nose, and shrieked, "You death-seeking trash! Let my son go this instant! Otherwise, I will make sure you have no place to be buried!"
"I’ll be waiting!"
Chu Xuan hated being threatened most of all. Wei Junhao’s words didn't make him retreat; they only ignited a more intense murderous intent.
Chu Xuan moved with lightning speed. He clamped one hand around Wei Junhao’s neck and gave a sharp, violent twist. With a crisp *crack*, Wei Junhao’s head was severed from his body.
Immediately after, Chu Xuan casually tossed the head toward Wei Junhao.
Wei Junhao reflexively reached out to catch it. When he saw his son’s face—eyes still wide open in terror—his complexion turned deathly pale. His legs went weak, and he nearly collapsed to the floor.
"Ah!"
He let out a horrified scream and dropped the head; it hit the floor with a sickening thud.
"Kill him! What are you all standing around for? Tear him to pieces! I want him to pay with his life for my son!"
Coming to his senses, Wei Junhao looked at his son’s corpse, his grief and rage intertwined to the point that he had completely lost his sanity. The Wei family’s thugs bared their teeth and lunged at Chu Xuan with their weapons, the air heavy with murderous intent.
At this critical moment, an urgent, concerned cry rang out from the doorway.
"Brother!"
This familiar voice acted like a heavy hammer, causing Chu Xuan to shudder and stop his movements instantly.
Chu Keke’s slender figure appeared at the door. She was pale, her hair disheveled, and her chest heaving as if she had sprinted all the way there.
Chu Xuan frowned, his tone laced with reproach: "Didn't I tell you to wait outside? Why did you come in?"
Chu Keke bit her lip, her eyes reddening: "Brother, I saw so many people surrounding Yipinju from outside, and I was so worried... I just wanted to come in and see if you were okay..."
A sinister smirk suddenly crept onto Wei Junhao’s tense face. A flicker of cruelty crossed his eyes, and he shouted, "Grab her!"
A group of experts lunged toward Chu Keke like starving wolves. Wei Junhao looked at Chu Xuan triumphantly, threatening viciously: "Chu Xuan, gouge out your own eyes and cut off your hands right now, or I’ll have your sister’s blood splattered across this floor today!"
Chu Keke was frozen in place by the sudden turn of events, her eyes filled with terror; she even forgot which way to run.
"WHO DARES!!!"
Seeing his sister in danger, Chu Xuan was consumed by rage. His True Qi surged, and he unleashed a palm strike.
A dazzling wave of energy swept out, and the seven or eight Internal Force Minor Accomplishment warriors in the front were sent flying like kites with their strings cut. They crashed to the ground, lifeless.
This terrifying scene left Wei Junhao and his men staring in absolute disbelief. How could a casual strike from Chu Xuan possess such power? These elite experts, who were usually so formidable within the Wei family, were being treated like mere ants?
Chu Keke also covered her mouth in shock. The brother before her was a completely different person from the refined scholar she remembered. Only now did she understand why he was so determined in his revenge—he had long possessed the strength to shake the very heavens!
At the same time, a sliver of regret flickered in her heart; she felt she shouldn't have rashly barged in and caused him trouble.
Before she could speak, Chu Xuan stepped forward and took her hand firmly, his eyes full of concern: "Keke, did I frighten you?"
Chu Keke hurriedly shook her head: "No, no, Brother, I'm not scared at all. You’re so strong—Mom and Dad must be looking down from heaven and feeling so proud of you!"
A warm current flowed through Chu Xuan’s heart. He gently patted his sister's head and said with relief: "Good! Then today, with you as my witness, I will avenge the hundred-odd members of the Chu family!"
He shielded Chu Keke behind him and scanned Wei Junhao and his men with the eyes of a hawk. He said coldly: "I have already wiped out the Zhao family; now it is your turn. Don't waste time—come at me together!"
The men of the Wei family looked at each other, their legs trembling uncontrollably. Their earlier arrogance had vanished without a trace. Wei Junhao swallowed hard, trying to bark another order, but he found his throat constricted by an invisible hand, unable to utter a single word.
*Hum...*
At that moment, a deafening roar of engines erupted from outside. A flicker of hope flashed in Wei Junhao’s eyes. He scrambled toward the door, howling: "Brother Langgou! You’ve come just in time! Come and help me finish off this bastard!"
Accompanied by thundering footsteps, over a hundred men swarmed into the Yipinju.
The man in the lead was as hulking as a small mountain, nearly two meters tall. A thick gold chain hung around his neck, flashing under the lights so brightly it was hard to look at. He had a buzz cut, and faint, hideous tattoos were visible on his shaven scalp. His square face was layered with thick flesh, his brow hung low over sharp, triangular eyes that glinted with cold malice, and a jagged scar ran diagonally across the corner of his mouth. Just by standing there, he exuded a bone-chilling, vicious aura.
"It’s Xiong Langgou! The boss of the Langgou Society!"
A suppressed gasp broke out among the guests. Their faces turned sheet-white, their bodies shaking uncontrollably. For years, Xiong Langgou had been notorious in the Jinling underground world for his brutal methods—skinning people alive, breaking limbs—the rumors were endless. Compared to Chu Xuan’s bloody vengeance, he seemed more like a demon crawled up from hell.
Someone whispered, "Wei Junhao actually managed to hire him? It looks like Chu Xuan is truly doomed this time!"
Another shook his head in agreement: "Xiong Langgou is an Internal Force Completion master. Throughout all of Jinling, who even knows if there’s anyone who can stand against him? What could Chu Xuan possibly win with?"
Wei Junhao wailed with snot and tears: "Brother Langgou! Your dear nephew, my poor son Yiyun, was just killed by this beast! We’ve had such a friendship for years—you have to avenge my son!"
Xiong Langgou narrowed his triangular eyes, a fierce glint erupting in their depths. The veins in his neck bulged like knotted vipers as he glared viciously at Chu Xuan. His voice sounded like sandpaper rubbing against an iron plate: "Brat, I let you slip through my fingers back then, and I’ve regretted it every single day since. Today, I’ll settle all the accounts with you Chus at once!"
Chu Xuan’s pupils constricted, his murderous intent surging like a physical force: "So, you were involved in what happened back then!"
Hearing this, Xiong Langgou patted his belly and roared with laughter, his thick gold chain clattering harshly. "Hahaha, you didn't know? Your arrogant, death-seeking uncle, Chu Ao, just had to compete with me for territory in the Jinling underworld."
"I might not have been his match originally, but the Chu family was asking for it, offending others at the same time. That gave me the perfect chance to beat a dog that had fallen into the water!"
He licked his lips, a flash of crazed satisfaction in his eyes: "Before Chu Ao breathed his last, I personally gouged out his eyeballs, making him watch as his wife and children died... that scene, tsk, tsk!"
Chu Keke shuddered violently, tears spilling over like a dam breaking. "Uncle said he was doing something to benefit Jinling... so he was actually going to deal with you..."
Hearing this, a beast-like growl emanated from Chu Xuan’s throat. His True Qi surged like an angry tide, and the floor beneath his feet cracked inch by inch. He stared fixedly at Xiong Langgou, enunciating every word: "Wei Junhao, bringing this guy here was the only 'good' deed you’ve ever done. Once I finish off this animal, I will make sure you die even more painfully than Zhao Tai!"
Xiong Langgou spat in disdain. His tower-like body leaned forward, creating waves of pressure in the air: "You? I killed three wolves with my bare hands at eighteen. With my Internal Force Completion cultivation, I can shatter blue stone with one punch. Today, I’ll show you what a real powerhouse is!"
He ripped open his shirt, revealing a chest covered in scars, his muscles bulging like granite. "Come on! Let me see what you’ve got, you stray dog!"
Seeing this, Xiong Langgou’s lackeys began shouting and posturing, spouting insults as they boasted: "My boss is ten times tougher than that tiger-slaying Wu Song! You were still wearing open-crotch pants when he was fighting wolves with his bare hands!"
"You little brat, daring to jump around in front of my boss? If I don't mince you into meat paste today, I’ll take your last name!"
"If you’re smart, get on your knees and beg for mercy. Maybe if my boss is in a good mood, he’ll leave your corpse in one piece!"
Amidst the jeering, Xiong Langgou could no longer hold back. The heavy gold chain around his neck rattled as his breathing grew heavy. The specialized armor on his wrists, knees, and fingers glinted with a cold, lethal light; the sharp steel spikes were capable of piercing iron plates with ease.
"Little bastard, go to hell!"
The roar made the air in the entire Yipinju hum with vibration.
"Brother! Run! Don't worry about me!"
Watching Xiong Langgou’s tower-like figure charging toward him, carrying a scent of blood, Chu Keke’s face drained of all color. She screamed desperately, her voice filled with despair and fear.
Wei Junhao stood to the side, wearing a savage grin, as if he could already see the siblings lying dead.
"There’s no need to run from trash like this."
Chu Xuan’s expression was cold, his True Qi swirling around him like a white ribbon as he shielded Chu Keke firmly behind him. Facing the storm of Xiong Langgou’s attacks, he didn't retreat; instead, he pushed forward. His right leg struck out like lightning, moving so fast that it left only blurred afterimages.
Xiong Langgou swung his spiked fists, attempting to tear through Chu Xuan’s defenses, but his blows landed on Chu Xuan’s leg as if striking a shield forged from refined steel, producing a dull, metallic clang.
"What?!"
Only then did Xiong Langgou realize something was wrong. Chu Xuan, surrounded by his True Qi, seemed protected by an invisible barrier; his specialized weapons could not break through the defense.
Before he could react, a crisp *crack* echoed. His arm exploded instantly, blood and fragments of armor spraying everywhere.
"No!"
Xiong Langgou tried to retreat in terror, only to find his path blocked by Chu Xuan. Chu Xuan’s leg moved with the precision of a whip, striking out repeatedly with lethal intent.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
With a few muffled thuds, Xiong Langgou’s stomach, shins, and chest caved in one after another, and the armor on his body was shredded like paper.
Xiong Langgou’s body began to disintegrate in large swaths, and bits of flesh rained down like drops of blood...
