In the dark and freezing depths of the Pacific Ocean, countless deep-sea monsters lay prostrate on the seabed, bowing towards the front like intensely devout believers. At the head of this peculiar congregation of "devotees" rested an oval-shaped eggshell, some ten meters in size, radiating a soft blue glow. An unknown ritual continued. A gigantic octopus, whose single tentacles spanned more than ten meters, slowly stepped forward and stood beside the egg.
