"Clack, clack, clack!" A flurry of rapid hoofbeats shattered the peaceful morning of Cheng'an Town, and a murderous tension seemed to fill the air. "Mom, what's going on out there?" A bare-bottomed boy poked his head halfway out the window, his eyes fixed on the two hundred cavalrymen galloping in from the distance.
"Oh, my little ancestor!" The woman, who had gotten up early in the courtyard to feed the chickens and ducks, rushed over and yanked the boy back inside. With her eyebrows cocked and her eyes blazing, she cursed angrily, "You little brat, have you got a death wish?"
