Over the course of more than half an hour, the dozen men assembled this pile of components into a brand-new Huaxia-brand tricycle. This was already the third iteration of the tricycle. The transmission had been changed from a crank-and-link mechanism to a gear-and-chain setup, because while the first version's link transmission was simple to manufacture, it had been far too exhausting to pedal.
