By evening, the guests in the shop had all gone upstairs, and the disciples were out. Bai Mengmeng sneaked into the kitchen and took out a small portion of Ganbajun mushrooms she had hidden away at noon.
Although there wasn't enough to make a full dish, it would be wonderful for fried rice. It was just a pity that the quantity was so small she would have to enjoy it all by herself.
Unlike other mushrooms, Ganbajun didn't require much oil. She stir-fried green peppers and the mushrooms together, then added rice and tossed it vigorously. In no time, a bowl of Ganbajun fried rice was ready, its aroma filling the air.
