The journey thereafter was uneventful, and Zhu Wu reached the main city of the Frozen Wilderness without incident.
It snowed or rained ice here almost every day. It was said that deep within the wilderness, the cold was so intense it could freeze even ordinary flames. Zhu Wu summoned his exotic fire to keep the chill at bay. Occasionally, a few figures could be seen hurrying along the streets, though most people preferred to remain tucked away in their homes. The city featured its own branches of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion and the Heavenly Fragrance Tower, though they were significantly smaller in scale.
Zhu Wu made a circuit of the city before finding an inn to stay at. The rooms here were equipped with specially crafted stoves that used spirit stones as fuel to keep the space warm. Typically, a room required three to five low-grade spirit stones per day. The inn Zhu Wu chose was more frugal; he only parted with two low-grade spirit stones, so the room remained somewhat cold. Fortunately, with his exotic fire, he could simply set it down in the room and be perfectly fine.
