Chapter 12

Erwin immediately retrieved the Space ring.
A moment later, a ring materialized out of thin air.
Erwin looked at the ring in his hand.
Etched onto the band was a purple lotus emblem.
It was identical to the crest of the Cavendish family.
Erwin fell in love with it at first sight.
He slipped the ring onto his finger, and it automatically adjusted, fitting his finger snugly without a single gap.
Erwin admired the ring on his index finger. This thing was truly a magnificent piece of work.
Next, Erwin initiated the final ten draws.
To his surprise, another flash of purple light swept past.
Erwin was utterly stunned.
Good grief, was he really this lucky today?
He had long since forgotten his exasperation after his very first tenfold draw.
Right now, his heart was filled with only two words: thrilled.
[Ding! Draw complete, distributing rewards!]
[.....]
[Blue guaranteed reward: Talent point X1!]
[Purple reward: Apparition set X1! (Includes Apparition spell card X1! Custom Apparition opportunity X1! Exclusive Mark X1!)]
Erwin stared at the final purple reward, completely bewildered.
What on earth was this?
Erwin chose to retrieve it immediately.
A flood of memories rushed into Erwin's mind.
Understanding dawned on him.
The spell card went without saying.
The so-called custom Apparition was much like the Death Eaters flying away in black smoke or the members of the Order of the Phoenix transforming into streaks of white light; it was a specialized, upgraded version of Apparition created exclusively for the master of the organization! It allowed for both instantaneous teleportation and flight!
As for the exclusive Mark, it belonged uniquely to Erwin. Voldemort's Dark Mark and the Phoenix Blessing of the Order of the Phoenix both served the exact same purpose—they were conduits used to cast this specialized version of Apparition.
Erwin scratched his head. How was it that he was starting to resemble a Dark Lord more and more by the day?
It seemed the only thing he was missing now was a band of loyal followers.
Good grief, even the matching ritual marks had already been prepared for him.
Erwin directly applied his spell proficiency to upgrade his Apparition to level three.
Then, Erwin tapped the custom Apparition opportunity.
[Ding! Customizing, please wait!]
[Ding! Customization successful! Would you like to view the preview video?]
Erwin nodded. Good grief, this thing even came with a preview.
Wonderful, wonderful.
A light screen then sprang open in front of Erwin.
The next moment, an image of Erwin appeared within the projection.
In the footage, Erwin's figure flickered.
A flash of purple light followed.
Erwin's body vanished from the spot, and right where he had been standing, a purple lotus flower slowly blossomed.
Erwin was astonished.
Dashing, utterly dashing!
He truly loved it.
Without hesitation, Erwin tapped confirm.
Another wave of memories flooded into his mind.
It was the method for utilizing the new Apparition.
Compared to the original version of Apparition, it consumed less magic, and it allowed for both flight and instantaneous teleportation!
Wasn't this infinitely more useful than any broomstick?
Afterward, Erwin prepared to test out his marking ability.
He called Tom into his room.
"Tom, roll up your sleeve!"
Tom didn't hesitate in the slightest and raised his arm.
Erwin then pressed his wand against Tom's arm.
There was no panic on Tom's face, only curiosity.
A purple lotus mark slowly materialized on Tom's arm.
Then Erwin withdrew his wand.
"Tom, this is a mark that belongs exclusively to me. When you feel the mark on your arm growing hot, it means I am summoning you! Whenever you need to contact me, you can also speak my name to the mark! I will sense it."
Tom nodded.
Unlike the Dark Mark or the Phoenix Mark, Erwin's mark was a product of the system.
It possessed one extra feature: Tom could use the mark to call out to Erwin, and Erwin would perceive it instantly.
Erwin withdrew his wand.
"Alright! Go contact the other branch leaders and have them come to the old manor for a meeting! I have some matters to assign."
Tom nodded.
Then he turned and left.
After Tom departed, Erwin experimented with activating his own mark.
It was miraculous; he could even sense Old Tom's exact location.
He had to admit, this thing was genuinely useful.
The only pity was that Old Tom lacked magical power.
Erwin planned to research the matter once he entered the wizarding world, to see if there was any way for non-magical people to acquire magic.
Or perhaps he could draw something miraculous from the system.
If that happened, his subordinates could entirely develop into a major family within the wizarding world.
Rather than cultivating a brand new group of subordinates, Erwin much preferred the original Cavendish family members who served him, seeing as their loyalty to him was one hundred percent.
The meeting itself was brief; Erwin outlined the general arrangements.
During his absence, Old Tom would be in charge of management, and if Old Tom encountered anything he couldn't handle, he was to contact him.
For convenience, Erwin had made another trip to Diagon Alley a couple of days prior.
He had purchased an owl specifically for Old Tom to use when contacting him.
The next day.
August thirty-first.
Today was the day Erwin set off for Hogwarts.
Early in the morning, Old Tom helped Erwin pack his things.
He waited by the entrance.
Erwin walked out of his room, yawning.
"Morning, young master!"
Erwin nodded. "Mm. Is everything I asked you to prepare ready?"
Old Tom nodded. "It's all ready, young master! Down in the basement! But do you really need to bring all of these things?"
Erwin replied, "Better safe than sorry! Come on, let's go take a look."
Old Tom nodded.
The two of them then headed down to the basement.
At the basement entrance,
Rivers was already waiting there.
Upon seeing Erwin, he hurried over with a trot.
"Young master! You're awake!"
Erwin nodded. "Mm. Let's go, inside!"
Rivers hastily unlocked the basement door.
As the basement door swung open, the piles of items stored inside came into view.
Spread across the floor were rows of firearms—pistols, AKs, and even grenades and RPGs!
Golden bullets were stacked neatly in piles beside them.
Rivers asked, "Young master! Are you going to a new place to expand our business? Why bring so many Great Equalizers! With this many pieces, it's enough to sustain a mid-scale raid!"
Erwin rolled his eyes.
Was this guy an absolute idiot?
Tom spoke up, "Young master! I don't think you need to bring so many! Besides, there's no way you can carry all this!"
Erwin raised his hand and waved it.
The guns and bullets lifted into the air of their own accord.
They poured directly into the ring on Erwin's hand.
Old Tom and Rivers stared with wide eyes.
"Such wondrous magic!"
Once the basement had been completely emptied,
Erwin stroked the ring on his finger, and sure enough, an overwhelming sense of surge and security flooded his heart.
You couldn't really blame him; every child of Daxia, though living in peaceful times, was deeply influenced by their formidable ancestors and suffered from a severe deficiency of firepower syndrome!
