After Tongtian used the Chaos Cauldron to suppress the Qi fortune of Jiejiao, it drew the attention of various factions. Everyone knew that Tongtian had obtained a treasure, but none knew precisely which treasure it was, prompting much speculation.
The Chaos Cauldron stabilized the Qi fortune of Jiejiao and relieved Tongtian of his worries, but the current state of Jiejiao was far from optimistic. Duobao and the others found themselves struggling at every step. Perhaps out of consideration for their fellow disciples, or to avoid violence, or perhaps restrained by public opinion and a desire to protect the reputations of Tongtian and Jiejiao, the results fell far short of what Tongtian had anticipated.
Duobao came to seek an audience, standing outside the Biyou Palace. Tongtian refused to grant him one, wishing to see whether this disciple in whom he had placed such high hopes could figure things out on his own.
