Along a narrow path through the woods, a sturdy horse, scarred and battered, was still fighting onward with all its might. The rider on its back was Su Er, a personal guard to the young lord of Jizhou, Su Quanzhong. His face was pale, sweat and fresh blood mingling to soak through his armor. Yet his eyes burned with a fierce, unwavering resolve, blazing like a raging fire. Across the horse's back lay his commander; he had to bring him home. This was the hope of all their brothers. "Hurry! Faster!" Su Er brandished his riding crop, urging the warhorse to accelerate. He knew the pursuers behind him were drawing closer and that he had to escape this dangerous area as quickly as possible. Suddenly, a rush of rapid hoofbeats echoed from behind. Su Er glanced back to see a troop of pursuers already closing in. Their faces wore ferocious grins, and the weapons in their hands flashed with cold light.
