Keeping their group concentrated was a mistake that would lead to total annihilation. Splitting up meant some would inevitably fall, but it was better than losing everyone. Duan Chao was lucky; not many people were tailing him. He sprinted toward the place where the horses were kept, but after running for five miles, two masked figures blocked his path. Someone had tracked him after all. Even wounded, he figured, mere bandits like these couldn't hold him back. Gritting his teeth, Duan Chao brandished his blade and charged.
