The late-night spot for supper was chosen by Fan Bing. It was reportedly a restaurant run by a disciple of some Japanese tempura god, and even its name differed from the flagship store in Japan by only a single character. The management strategy and interior decor were identical: you ate whatever they were making, and after finishing the first round, you ordered more of whatever you fancied. The place wasn't very large, and it lacked private rooms or partitioned booths. Most of the seating consisted of ordinary small square tables commonly seen in izakayas, or sitting directly along the counter to watch the chefs prepare the food.
