Kakimi was still fast asleep after passing along that single piece of information, and hadn't made a sound since. So Fang Xiu simply picked a direction at random and started walking. After all, his ring increased his luck value, and he figured his fortune couldn't possibly be that bad.
Along the way, he didn't encounter any beasts at all. Of course, this was a gathering place for Awakened individuals—specifically, those over level eighty—so the surrounding beasts had long since been cleared out. If there were still beasts within such a short distance, a good number of them probably would have already broken out of the Monster Battlefield and poured into the cities to wreak havoc.
