Chapter 119

The logical Furnace Core of the Cold Fortress was a geometric hell. Beneath a massive regular-hexadecagon steel dome, thirty-six thousand blue energy conduits—each thicker than a star—suspended vertically, piercing the vast interior of the spherical cavity to deliver a constant stream of pure logic. At the heart of the furnace, where all thirty-six thousand conduits converged, a dark blue logic vortex, its surface densely carved with intricate runes, hovered and rotated in silence. This vortex was not physical, but a pure information structure—the digestive system used by the universe of cold order to incinerate illegal "entropy increase garbage." The working chamber of the logic Furnace Core was suspended at the center of the steel dome, taking the shape of a sharp-angled spherical geometry. Three hundred layers of rotating processing rings nested within one another, each ring embedded with hundreds of millions of microscopic rule-engraving needles. Inside the chamber at this moment, a torrent of data from the cosmic frontier was being rapidly decomposed and dispersed by the rotating rings. The surging blue current of light resembled angry blood vessels, while the hundreds of millions of rule-engraving needles jabbed up and down at a frequency impossible for human minds to catch, meticulously tearing at the structure of every wisp of informational debris to isolate any tiny, reclaimable logic units.
