Tang Zhiyan hung up the phone with a faint smile playing on her lips. Seated in the garden of her villa in the heart of Modu, she drummed her fingers lightly against the table. She wore a white, form-fitting dress that set off her skin, which was as delicate, supple, and fair as a newborn’s. Her large, clear, obsidian eyes, soft and full red lips, and a small, exquisite nose were set perfectly in a face of peerless, quiet, and elegant beauty. With her gracefully contoured cheeks and skin so flawless it looked like it might break at a touch, she was a true, captivating beauty. Yet, there was a cold detachment in her expression; a look of indifference flickered in her eyes. It seemed as though she possessed everything the world had to offer, and having been born atop a mountain of gold, she felt little interest in the mundane world.
