"May I come into your room and talk to you?"
Ye Ge looked at Su Mu, his expression appearing extremely sincere. Judging by his face, it seemed as if he really had something of great importance to discuss with her. In reality, however, Ye Ge was simply a wolf in sheep’s clothing, harboring ulterior motives. He was like the Big Bad Wolf, eager to devour Little Red Riding Hood.
Since Ye Ge had asked, Su Mu certainly wouldn't keep him waiting outside. Even if he hadn't had a reason, she would still have let him in. Since they had first met, Su Mu had rarely refused Ye Ge anything. Even when she did try to say no, if he persisted, she would quickly compromise. It wasn't that Su Mu was easily pushed around; it was just that when it came to Ye Ge, she was inherently incapable of putting up a guard. Even if he were to feed her something strange—or even poison—she would likely drink it down without a second thought.
"Of course you can, though the room is a bit messy."
Su Mu stepped aside to let him in. Ye Ge sat down in the chair in her room. Hotel rooms are rarely truly messy, and with housekeeping services and Su Mu’s own tidy nature, her comment was merely a polite formality. She poured him a glass of water, then sat obediently on the bed, facing him.
