Yet, even in such circumstances, she knew she had to maintain an optimistic outlook; she absolutely could not face her sister with a mournful expression. That was simply out of the question! "Musu, don't worry. I will certainly treat you and your sister well. No matter what happens, even if your sister never forgives me, it doesn't matter. I will stay by your side for the rest of my life," Ye Ge promised. To Ye Ge, this statement carried more weight than any formal vow. No matter what happened, and no matter how they might reject him, he would never abandon them. These were things he had done, and as such, he had to take responsibility.
