[Purification Value +2...]
Watching the numbers flicker incessantly across the interface, Lan Lingdu held a bottle of mental stamina potion in one hand, ready to replenish her energy at any moment, while struggling to suppress the corners of her mouth that were threatening to curl upward in excitement.
While others over there were frantically trying to manage the rampaging beast, she was here reaping the rewards of growth—this feeling was simply too good!
Lan Lingdu had barely enjoyed the sensation for a few minutes when a crisp "crack!" echoed through the air. The ice encasing the Fire Fox began to shatter.
"Oh no! It’s gone berserk! Its destructive power has reached Grade A, and it has officially entered the Transcendent Beast realm."
"Quick, steady it! It’s about to break out of the ice sculpture!"
"Boom!"
A massive crack split the ice sculpture, and the vines wrapped around the creature were sliced apart by the jagged, razor-sharp shards of ice. A low, bestial roar emanated from within the ice.
Someone shouted in panic, "Where is the Enforcement Team? Why haven't they arrived yet?"
The person in charge of the Seed Department looked grim. "The Enforcement Team is overwhelmed today. Bestialization incidents are occurring all over Gengdi Planet; they are spread too thin."
They were all Orcs with agricultural talents; any Orcs with combat capabilities had already been recruited into the Enforcement Team. Normally, when such emergencies occurred, a single message would bring the Enforcement Team via wormhole transmission to handle the situation within a minute.
A delay of five minutes, like today, was rare.
Over on her side, Lan Lingdu had already downed another bottle of mental stamina potion to soothe her Mental Sea of Consciousness, staring excitedly at the rapidly skyrocketing Purification Value on her interface.
"Hold on a little longer, please!"
"You have to hold on a bit longer!"
Yet, as if cursed by Lan Lingdu’s hopeful plea, the Fire Fox shattered its icy prison and the remaining vines all at once. Even the plant Lan Lingdu had been using to fish in troubled waters couldn't withstand the force.
Fortunately, Lan Lingdu severed her mental connection the second before the Fire Fox burst through the foliage, or there was no telling what might have happened.
Just as everyone braced for a bloodbath, the fox remained rooted to the spot, unmoving. There was even a flicker of human-like reason in its eyes!
"Wooo..."
The Fire Fox let out a mournful howl, slowly lowering its four legs until it knelt on the ground—looking for all the world like it was... giving up?
The crowd, who had been on edge and prepared for a life-or-death struggle, gasped in collective shock.
"What is going on? Didn't this Fox-tribe member undergo full bestialization and enter a berserk state?"
"Someone tell me why it still has its sanity!"
Someone cautiously asked the person in charge of the Seed Area, "Supervisor Zhang, has this ever happened with an Orc before?"
Supervisor Zhang rolled his eyes. "Living under a rock?"
The man touched his nose, looking embarrassed. He just couldn't believe it and wanted confirmation. Indeed, anyone with basic Interstellar knowledge knew that 100% bestialized Orcs were irreversible. Such Orcs had only one path: to fight until they died of exhaustion after entering a berserk state!
Despite being filled with questions, the crowd scrambled to bind the surrendering Fire Fox and lead it away.
Lan Lingdu watched the Fire Fox’s retreating back with regret, staring at the Purification Value on her interface: 3,695 points. It was too little; it probably wouldn't be enough to level up Wood Spirit. Even All Things Flourish at the entry level seemed out of reach.
Lan Lingdu’s mild obsessive-compulsive tendencies kicked in. *No way!*
Before heading to Farm 313 Star, which was under her name, she had to level up her skills. Leaving behind Orcs with 60% to 70% bestialization status without harvesting them was simply inhumane.
Therefore, Lan Lingdu decided to cast aside her humanity.
"Thud!"
An Orc passing through a deserted alley suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head. He reflexively cursed, "Which bastard ambushed me?!"
However, before he could finish his sentence, he inhaled a puff of potent, sweet-smelling incense. He only had time to sneeze before his eyes rolled back, and he passed out.
A scene straight out of a horror movie unfolded: a vine slithered out, wrapped around the Orc’s leg, and dragged him heedlessly into the depths of the alley, disappearing into the dense shrubbery.
Inside the thicket, Lan Lingdu stared excitedly at the Orc, now ripe for the taking. She rolled up her sleeves and got to work without a second thought!
[Purification Value +2...]
Ever since the thought of robbing Orcs of their Purification Value had occurred to her in the Seed Hall, she had become obsessed with figuring out how to make these Orcs lie still for purification without exposing her own ability to purify others.
After wandering around the Seed Hall, she had an idea. There was a plant in the hall called "Dream Marsh," a raw material used for perfume that had the secondary effect of instantly knocking people unconscious.
Lower-level Orcs would drop to the ground after a single breath. Just like this Orc, who was now being dragged in without any resistance.
Two minutes passed, and having gained over two thousand Purification Value, Lan Lingdu wasn't entirely satisfied. She drank another bottle of mental stamina potion and extended a strand of mental energy. She raised an eyebrow as she looked at the small, black, beast-like entity in the Orc’s spiritual sea, which was gradually becoming transparent.
It seemed that the harvest of Purification Value from lower-level Orcs wasn't that substantial. It had only taken a few minutes to wipe the bestialization index from this Orc.
"Fine, I'll see this through to the end. Think of it as a good deed—I'll help you purify all the bestialization in your system," Lan Lingdu muttered. She reused Wood Spirit, deciding to go all the way and finish the job. Even if this guy woke up and found his bestialization index at zero, he would probably just assume he had been favored by the Beast God.
Two minutes later, Lan Lingdu crawled out through a gap in the shrubbery.
Three hours later, after successfully "robbing" over a dozen Orcs in the same manner:
"Pour all the Purification Value into All Things Flourish, please!"
[23,654 points of Purification Value poured in. Since beginning your cultivation of All Things Flourish, you have practiced day after day, yet you have always remained stagnant and felt increasingly anxious. One day, while being scorched by the blazing sun, you suddenly felt a coolness in your head; your mind became clearer than ever before, as if touched by some mysterious power. All Things Flourish: Two Elements.]
[Remaining Purification Value: 2,900 points.]
Looking at the text on the interface, Lan Lingdu glanced up at the fierce sun and her mouth twitched. The remaining data was a bit of an eyesore. Lan Lingdu spoke, "Pour the remaining Purification Value into All Things Flourish."
[Purification Value pouring in...]
[After All Things Flourish advanced to Two Elements, you exhausted your heart and blood in an effort to taste the hundred herbs. Your murky mind occasionally flashed with inspiration, and you finally grasped: Flora Mastery (Entry).]
Upon receiving this system notification, Lan Lingdu felt a sharp pain in her head, and suddenly, a vast amount of knowledge regarding the pharmacological properties of various plants flooded her mind.
Lan Lingdu’s eyes lit up. "The interface really understands me. It knew I was craving pharmacological knowledge."
She glanced casually at a blade of grass by her feet, and the information automatically surfaced in her mind: *A wild weed; can provide some nutrients for livestock.*
