Chapter 10

Stand: God Anubis was about to use its full power.
Suddenly, Stand User Wen Lie launched a thrusting attack at Zheng Zha. The longsword swept forward in a straight line, aiming directly at Zheng Zha's chest.
Zheng Zha swung his dagger from bottom to top toward the blade of the longsword. The two weapons crossed, yet there was no collision at all. The longsword passed right through the dagger as if it were slicing through clouds, and Zheng Zha did not feel his dagger make contact with anything.
Zheng Zha immediately thought of another ability of Stand: God Anubis: its blade could attack targets through solid objects, striking what lay behind them without damaging the objects themselves.
The blade tip passed through the dagger and thrust toward Zheng Zha's chest. When it was only a few centimeters away, Zheng Zha quickly leaped backward. Stand User Wen Lie pursued him closely with a massive stride, executing a double thrust. The tip of the blade whistled through the air, and Zheng Zha could even feel the icy chill grazing his chest.
At this critical moment, Zheng Zha threw his dagger.
However, the dagger that left his hand did not shoot toward Stand User Wen Lie; instead, it dropped to the ground.
At the same time, he thrust his palms forward, executing a bare-handed blade catch, clamping the blade tightly between his palms.
The sword thrust by Stand User Wen Lie stopped right in front of Zheng Zha, the tip separated from his skin by mere layers of clothing.
The blade tip could neither advance nor retreat, trapped immovably between Zheng Zha's hands.
The force of Zheng Zha's clapping hands was truly formidable. The shockwave of the impact traveled along the hilt, causing it to vibrate so violently that Wen Lie's hand almost lost its grip.
Although the First Order Genesis Lock only boosted strength and speed by thirty percent, the explosive state could allow an ordinary person to shatter walls and lift cars, increasing strength by at least fivefold.
After executing the bare-handed blade catch using this explosive power, Zheng Zha unleashed a magic attack.
"Roar!"
Blood-red flames erupted from Zheng Zha's palms, enveloping the blade trapped between them.
"Gaah! Too tight! So hot! Both tight and hot! I can't take it! It's going to snap! It's going to snap! Stop it—!"
Scorched by the Crimson Flame, Stand: God Anubis groaned like a wounded man lying in bed.
Under normal circumstances, when controlling a host body in battle, only Wen Lie would suffer injuries, and a broken blade could be repaired.
However, the flames released by Zheng Zha genuinely harmed its very essence as a Stand.
Wen Lie, the user, felt practically nothing, yet Stand: God Anubis began to scream in agony.
Not daring to continue his attack for fear of accidentally killing Stand: God Anubis, Zheng Zha quickly released his grip on the blade and kicked out at the abdomen of Stand User Wen Lie. The formidable strength sent Stand User Wen Lie flying into the wall with a heavy thud. The wall vibrated, and the section directly behind Stand User Wen Lie ended up two centimeters narrower than the surrounding surface.
"Do you want to continue? I can't guarantee I'll be able to control my strength; I might accidentally burn you to death."
The flames on Zheng Zha's left hand extinguished while his right hand brandished the blood-red fire, its flickering light brimming with deterrence toward Stand: God Anubis.
Given Zheng Zha's C-rank energy, the C-rank Blood Clan skill Crimson Flame could only be used for a few minutes, but its might was tremendous, especially against spiritual entities.
Since it was something like a blade spirit, the Crimson Flame would undoubtedly produce miraculous effects.
With an inscrutable expression, Stand User Wen Lie stared fixedly at the flames on Zheng Zha's hand without a word.
Seeing that Stand User Wen Lie remained silent, Zheng Zha picked up the scabbard of Stand: God Anubis from the ground, tossed it toward Stand User Wen Lie, and said, "All right, give me your answer. Is it a fight to the death, or will you swear allegiance to me?"
"You freed me from the dark warehouse and now have defeated me with your mighty power."
After a moment of hesitation, Stand User Wen Lie dropped down from the wall, picked up the scabbard from the floor, and a resolute look flashed in his eyes.
"Then I have only one answer."
The figure of Stand: God Anubis materialized behind Stand User Wen Lie and declared with unwavering firmness: "I shall swear allegiance to you!"
Accompanied by the voice of Stand: God Anubis, Wen Lie raised his thigh and brought it down heavily upon the scabbard.
"Crack!"
The precious scabbard split into two. Wen Lie released the hilt, holding one half of the scabbard in each hand, a demonic smile blooming across his face.
"Hahahaha! I must say, Stands are truly interesting!"
Zheng Zha laughed heartily and extinguished the Crimson Flame burning on his right hand.
"Is this the treasure you guys found in the museum?"
In the hotel room, the members of China Team were gathered together. Excluding Zheng Zha, Zhao Yinkong, and Wen Lie, everyone else's gaze was fixed on Stand: God Anubis in Wen Lie's hand.
Xiao Honglv observed Stand: God Anubis closely, but no matter how he looked at it, he could not figure out its mysteries. The only thing he could discern was that this longsword was extremely valuable—it could probably sell for at least several hundred thousand, right?
Wen Lie asked, "Let me ask first, have any of you read JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?"
Zhang Jie and Qi Tengyi raised their hands.
Before entering God's Dimension, both of them had gone through an otaku phase, and since JoJo's Bizarre Adventure was such a famous work, both had read parts of it.
Wen Lie said, "That makes things easy. This sword is Stand: God Anubis, the very same Stand that DIO will find in the Cairo Museum warehouse decades from now."
Qi Tengyi asked in shock, "No way? How could there be a Stand in The Mummy World?"
Wen Lie retorted, "Why wouldn't there be?"
"Do you even have to ask? The Mummy is The Mummy, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. A horror movie world isn't an Indian dining table; you can't just mix any elements into it."
Zhang Jie looked in shock at Stand: God Anubis in Wen Lie's hand, finding it hard to believe.
Even as a guide, he had no idea such a thing could happen.
Wen Lie said, "This brings us to another question: Is a horror movie world an independent dungeon world where only that movie's plot exists, or is it a complete world?"
Hearing this question, the others looked at each other in dismay.
Ling Dian asked calmly, "What is the difference?"
Wen Lie explained, "If it's the former, God's Dimension might just be a virtual world. Aside from us players, everyone else is an NPC—it's just that important plot characters have higher intelligence while minor ones have lower intelligence, and beyond the plot area is an invisible wall."
Zheng Zha immediately said, "It's not that. Someone once had the exact same hypothesis, guessing that we might have entered an illusory world with our spiritual bodies. However, I successfully returned to the real world with my creations and enhancements, and without my knowledge, that person tampered with me and contacted the government in the real world. Therefore, the possibility of God reading my memories to create a fake illusion does not exist."
Zhan Lan also chimed in, "Besides, we've been to Hawaii in The Grudge horror movie, and there were no invisible walls either."
