The entire sky was almost translucent, like a young girl's unspoken thoughts, pervaded by an elusive sense of mystery—a translucent melancholy, breathtakingly beautiful. Muyin paused to gaze up at the sky in a daze for a moment. She loved the chill of the early morning air and that streak of blue on the distant horizon—so pale, so pure. No wonder Alin liked blue so much; it was the color of the sky and the sea, the color symbolizing freedom.
