He suddenly realized he was no longer a ghost; he was a living, breathing person. He immediately covered his face and collapsed against the door, laughing hysterically.
The pain had already faded. He raised his hand and slapped his own face again—it was good to feel pain. Since he wasn't a ghost, he naturally couldn't pass through the door, so he hugged the door and continued his crazed behavior.
