The group walked up the blue-stone steps in single file. At the very top lay an expansive low terrace—the Sigu Sect's martial practice ground, where members trained and sparred. To the left stood the pavilions of the Enforcement Hall and Guest Reception Courtyard, where protectors and enforcers handled discipline, patrols, and the welcoming of visiting guests, with living quarters for members and guests situated further inward. To the right were the apothecary and kitchens, backed by the storage warehouses.
Passing through the practice ground and another gatehouse led to the inner compound. At its center stood the main hall for meetings and receptions, the "Sigu Hall," equipped with a study and a tearoom. Flanking the council hall were the offices of the Enforcement Hall, which included the residence of the Hall Master, alongside rooms for paperwork, interrogations, and intelligence.
Further inward on both sides lay the back courtyard, where the private quarters of the Sect Master, elders, and Enforcement Hall Master were located.
