Above the ancestral home of the Du Family, dark clouds churned like a massive black curtain, pressing down heavily upon everyone and completely obscuring what had once been a jewel-blue sky. Within the estate, the atmosphere was thick enough to touch, a biting chill seeping into every inch of the air. Du Tianxiong, the pillar of the Du Family, stood rooted in the center of the courtyard like a towering peak. His posture was upright; though advanced in years, time had done nothing to diminish his majesty. He wore a black robe embroidered with archaic, mysterious runes in gold thread, every symbol seemingly recounting the long and glorious history of the Du Family. The robe fluttered gently in the wind, only accentuating his composure and dignity. His features were as chiseled and resolute as if carved by a knife and axe, the passage of time leaving deep marks upon his face. Every wrinkle resembled a gully in the long river of years, recording the countless storms he had weathered for the clan. His eyes were as deep as an abyss, holding boundless wisdom and mysterious power; that gaze could pierce through all the falsehoods of this world and reach the very essence of things. At this moment, he gazed up at the sky with a solemn expression, his look seemingly capable of penetrating the layers of clouds and discerning the dangers lurking beyond the horizon.
