I instinctively sidestepped to dodge the dark shadow's attack, but its sharp claws still slashed open my arm. Fresh blood dripped from my fingertips, blooming like dazzling, vicious flowers upon the snow. I looked closely and realized that the creature attacking me was a gigantic black bear with glowing red eyes and exposed fangs—clearly not something to be trifled with. Daring not to linger in the fight, I turned and ran. The black bear gave chase relentlessly, letting out deafening roars with every bound. I ran desperately through the Mist Forest, but the thick fog severely obstructed my vision. Completely losing all sense of direction, I could only push forward relying purely on instinct.
