Hearing his master outline the background of the Tongtian River trial, Sun Wukong nodded. "Master, Old Sun understands," he said. "When the time comes, we'll let that Carp Spirit carry you off. Old Wu and I will come to rescue you, put up a show of being defeated, and then go to the South China Sea to ask Guanyin to come."
