Monk chose a place right behind the Cultural Palace, a small eatery with two tavern banners hanging outside. Shops in this day and age were all single-story brick houses. What they called a "main hall" was just a front room with a few tables, while the four rooms in the front and back courtyards served as private dining rooms. The rooms had heated brick kangs with round tables set up on them, saving the cost of buying stools.
