Chapter 8

Upon hearing the bell, instead of running around as they usually did, the students obediently stayed in their seats and waited for Shinichi to leave.
Having spent some time at the Ninja Academy, they had already learned some basic rules of this world.
Shinichi looked at the eager little faces of the students below, then glanced at Obito's expectant gaze beside him.
Shinichi said earnestly:
"Yes, from now on, I will be your homeroom teacher."
"Forever!"
Hearing these words, Shinichi could clearly feel the smiling faces of the students below increasing significantly.
Seeing the smiles on those tender little faces below, Shinichi suddenly felt a surge of new responsibility in his heart.
"Alright, class, it's recess now. Make sure you pay close attention in the next lesson!"
"Especially you, Obito. You mustn't be late from now on, understand?"
"We will, Teacher Shinichi!" shouted the other students.
"I understand, Teacher Shinichi!" Obito responded loudly.
With that, Shinichi began packing up his things to return to his office.
Originally, Shinichi had only taken on this class for the reward, but that mindset had faded considerably by now.
He now needed to devise a new teaching plan.
In Shinichi's memory, the Third Shinobi World War was essentially Konoha fighting against four other great nations.
Later on, that duo would force most students to graduate early and join the battlefield. As their teacher, Shinichi wanted to do something for them.
He wanted to ensure the students in this class wouldn't lose their lives over trivial matters.
Returning to his office, Shinichi carefully pondered their future training methods.
Unlike times of peace, times of war placed much stricter demands on students.
By now, most third and fourth-year students could use the Three Basic Techniques at a rudimentary level, and some students from prominent ninja clans had even begun practicing their family ninjutsu.
On this foundation, what Shinichi needed to consider now was how to enable more students to learn practical skills.
[Congratulations to the host for completing the teaching for Class 3-4. Lesson concluded, calculating rewards.]
[Rating: Excellent]
[Reward obtained: Multiple Shadow Clone Technique]
"Naruto's signature ninjutsu?"
As Naruto's signature ninjutsu, the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique was practically a cheat code for any ninja with strong spiritual energy and massive reserves of chakra.
Just like Naruto in the original story, who used shadow clones to turn combat styles into an art form.
Even though by the Boruto era Naruto seemed to have forgotten this ninjutsu, one still couldn't deny how immensely helpful it had been to him.
Just when Shinichi thought everything was over, the system's voice sounded once again.
[Congratulations to the host for shifting your mindset. The system rewards the host with a deluxe gift package!]
[Do you wish to claim it?]
"A deluxe gift package?"
An ordinary gift package had already awakened the Senju clan bloodline within Shinichi, so would a deluxe gift package allow him to soar directly?
With an excited heart, Shinichi clicked the claim option on the blue panel.
[Claim!]
[Ding!]
[Congratulations to the host for obtaining: Bloodline Purification Agent x1, Mastery of Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation, Kekkei Genkai: Dark Release, Chakra +1000]
"What the hell?!"
Shinichi couldn't help but blurt out in his hometown dialect.
This was defying the heavens!
Seeing the rewards inside the deluxe gift package, Shinichi was instantly dumbfounded. How could this lousy system be so generous?
[Use Bloodline Purification Agent!]
In an instant, Shinichi felt his soul undergo a sublimation. Both his soul and body felt incomparably light, and he couldn't help but stretch lazily.
[Name: Shinichi Chiba]
[Chakra: 7460]
[Skills: Three Basic Techniques, Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, Body Flicker Technique, Earth Release: Earth Substitution, Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall, Fire Release: Majestic Demolisher Flame, Earth Release: Rock Collapsing Devastation, Konoha Whirlwind, Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, Mastery of Earth Release Chakra Nature Transformation, Mastery of Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation, Kekkei Genkai: Dark Release]
[Bloodline: Senju clan Bloodline (45%)]
[Evaluation: The Kekkei Genkai Dark Release perfectly resolves the problem of insufficient chakra. An elite Jonin proficient in both Fire and Earth Release ninjutsu, capable of locally shifting the tide of war on the shinobi battlefield.]
Looking at the panel, Shinichi finally heaved a sigh of relief. He no longer had to worry about dying inexplicably while sleeping at home.
The panel's current evaluation gave Shinichi the courage to say "no."
Initially, Shinichi might have acted purely for his own sake, but his experiences during this period gave him a lingering desire to change something.
"This world shouldn't be like this, nor can it be!"
......
Just as Shinichi was immersed in joy, the bell for the end of the break rang once again.
Remembering that the next class belonged to Shisui's class, Shinichi packed up his things and hurried toward the classroom.
"Iruka, the next class is ninja tool throwing. Care to have a competition with us?"
As the student who was openly the first to successfully refine chakra, Izumo Kamizuki was full of confidence as he issued a challenge to his lifelong rival, "Iruka."
Upon hearing this, Iruka instantly panicked.
Through quiet inquiries over the past two days, Iruka had discovered that at least half the class had already successfully refined chakra, whereas he hadn't succeeded yet. Hearing Izumo Kamizuki's challenge now, he was suddenly thrown into a panic.
Before Iruka could reply, Hana Inuzuka leaped out first.
"Izumo Kamizuki, how about you compete with us instead?"
"You don't actually think you were the first one in our class to refine chakra, do you?"
Hana Inuzuka naturally couldn't stand Izumo Kamizuki's arrogant attitude.
In her eyes, she had simply chosen not to expose herself, which was why he had received Teacher Shinichi's praise.
"Hmph, Hana Inuzuka, just wait and I'll show you how I defeat you."
Reiya Yamanaka and Kotetsu Hagane also stepped up to support their respective best friend and close buddy, glaring fiercely at each other.
Shinichi, who had just walked into the classroom, looked at this scene with a mix of amusement and exasperation.
Facing this situation, Shinichi didn't know what to say for a moment, so he simply gave a cough to signal that he had arrived in the classroom.
"Teacher Shinichi?"
"Isn't this supposed to be the ninja tool throwing class?"
Faced with the students' confusion, Shinichi patiently explained:
"I teach your ninja tool throwing class as well. Come with me to the training ground now! Iruka, take a few boys to the tool room to get the ninja tools."
After giving his instructions, Shinichi took the lead and led the remaining students toward the training ground.
Thud, thud, thud!
The shuriken pinched between Shinichi's fingers struck the bullseye with absolute precision.
"So cool!"
"Wow, Teacher Shinichi is so handsome!"
Hearing the students' praises, Shinichi nodded inwardly and then began explaining the throwing techniques.
After giving his explanation, Shinichi let the students practice throwing on their own, then walked straight over to Iruka.
"Iruka, why weren't you paying attention during class just now?"
Iruka, who had been spacing out, lowered his head in shame upon hearing Shinichi's voice.
"T-Teacher Shinichi, I'm sorry!"
Feeling the gazes cast by the surrounding students, Shinichi led Iruka to a secluded spot to question him.
"Iruka, has something happened lately?"
"Why are you so listless? Can you talk to your teacher about it?"
Shinichi asked Iruka in a gentle tone.
After hesitating for a long time, Iruka finally spoke up with a voice on the verge of tears.
"Teacher Shinichi, I still haven't refined any chakra at all. Am I bringing shame to you?"
Shinichi had originally thought Iruka was having some family trouble, but he hadn't expected it to be such a minor matter as failing to refine chakra.
"Iruka, that kind of thinking is wrong. If it doesn't work today, we just keep working hard at it."
"You have always been your teacher's pride. In the teacher's impression, Iruka is a genius, so how could you be defeated by such a tiny little thing?"
Although Shinichi felt this was a very trivial matter, he still patiently consoled him.
He thought back to when he was young: if he hadn't finished his homework, it felt like the sky was falling, and the next day he wouldn't even dare go to school.
In middle school, failing to get into a high school or university felt like one's whole life was over; and in university, family members would say that if you didn't find a good job or pass the civil service or graduate entrance exams, your life was ruined.
Actually, if you think about it carefully, none of these things amount to much. As long as it's not a matter of life and death, practically everything in the world can be considered no big deal.
Just like Iruka's current problem—even though he couldn't understand why the boy was agonizing over it, Shinichi still earnestly tried to comfort him.
"Teacher Shinichi!"
Hearing these words, Iruka's tears fell uncontrollably, and he muttered something indistinctly while crying.
Shinichi could only pull him into an embrace and softly comfort him.
Not far away, Shisui watched the scene unfold. In his mind, the memory of the ramen shop involuntarily surfaced, and his gaze drifted off into the distance.
