Teacher Wanjin gave Xu Jiangyu a silver door-shaped hidden weapon and a capsule. Holding them, Xu Jiangyu returned to the dormitory.
Seeing the items in Xu Jiangyu's hand, Tang Chenya curiously leaned in. Her bright eyes stared intently at the silver door-shaped hidden weapon and the capsule, shining with a strong light of curiosity. Her brow slightly furrowed and her lips slightly pouted, revealing a strong desire for knowledge in her heart.
"Xu Jiangyu, what on earth is inside this?" Tang Chenya couldn't help asking, her voice filled with expectation and doubt. She reached out her slender fingers, gently touching the silver door-shaped hidden weapon to feel its texture, and then turned her gaze to the capsule, eager to find out what was inside.
Just as Tang Chenya finished speaking, Xu Jiangyu accidentally triggered the hidden weapon. In an instant, countless hidden weapons shot out in all directions. Taken aback by this sudden turn of events, Tang Chenya widened her eyes, her mouth agape in utter astonishment. She watched the scattered projectiles flying everywhere, her heart filled with wonder and excitement.
She couldn't help reaching out, wanting to catch some of the hidden weapons and experience their magic for herself. Her body involuntarily followed the trajectory of the weapons, completely immersed in curiosity about them. A bright smile bloomed on her face, as if she had discovered some hidden treasure.
However, the hidden weapons were moving too fast for her to catch them. Unwilling to give up, Tang Chenya chased after the flying projectiles, running and shouting, "Wow, this is amazing! What on earth is going on?" Her curiosity was thoroughly aroused, and she completely forgot about the danger... Finally, Tang Chenya stopped, panting as she looked at Xu Jiangyu.
Xu Jiangyu was standing there with a painful expression, clutching his backside. Tang Chenya couldn't help bursting into laughter. She laughed so hard she doubled over, tears almost streaming down her eyes.
With her hands on her hips and bent at the waist, she pointed at Xu Jiangyu's rear, laughing breathlessly as she said, "Ha-ha, Xu Jiangyu, look at you! You've got two dragon-whisker needles stuck right in your backside. You look so ridiculous!"
Her laughter was crisp and melodic, full of mockery and teasing. Her eyes curved into crescent moons, and her smile was as brilliant as the sunshine.
While laughing, she continued to banter with Xu Jiangyu: "What on earth did you do? Were you not even looking where you were walking? Ha-ha, that is just too funny!"
Tang Chenya was completely lost in the joy of mocking Xu Jiangyu. Her gloating expression was simply irresistible. With a look of utter disbelief, Xu Jiangyu checked his backside and said, exasperated and annoyed, "My backside? How did this happen?!"
Frowning deeply, his face a mix of embarrassment and helplessness, he muttered under his breath, "This is just too unlucky!"
Seeing him like this, Tang Chenya laughed even more uninhibitedly. Clutching her stomach with tears streaming from her eyes, she gasped out, "Xu Jiangyu, oh Xu Jiangyu, you really are the unluckiest person alive! Ha-ha-ha-ha!"
Her laughter echoed through the dormitory while Xu Jiangyu stood there in low spirits, not knowing what to do. While cultivating, Xu Jiangyu inadvertently caught sight of Tang Chenya fast asleep.
Tang Chenya's sleeping posture was extremely bizarre. Her head wasn't on the pillow at all; instead, it was tilted to one side and kept shifting—first resting against the edge of the bed, then pressing against the wall. Meanwhile, her feet were raised high, resting on the pillow, which was vastly different from a normal sleeping position.
Seeing this, Xu Jiangyu couldn't help chuckling softly. He walked over to Tang Chenya, shook his head helplessly, and thought to himself that this buddy's sleeping posture was truly eccentric.
He reached out, intending to put Tang Chenya's foot back in its proper place, but Tang Chenya muttered a few words in her sleep, rolled over, and maintained that strange sleeping posture. Seeing this, Xu Jiangyu could only smile helplessly, return to his spot to continue cultivating, and let Tang Chenya keep sleeping in that peculiar position.
Tang Chenya suddenly jolted awake from her sleep, crying out repeatedly, "Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch!"
With a face full of pain, she tightly clutched her body and tossed and turned on the bed.
Startled by her cries, Xu Jiangyu hurried over to check on her. Tang Chenya's face was full of pain and confusion; she had no idea what was wrong with her or why she was suddenly in such agony.
"What's wrong, Tang Chenya? Where does it hurt?" Xu Jiangyu asked with concern.
Frowning, Tang Chenya pointed to her foot and said, "My foot hurts so much! It feels like something poked me!"
Xu Jiangyu quickly examined her foot and found a tiny thorn stuck in the top of her foot. Carefully, he pulled the thorn out for her, then comforted her by saying, "Alright, it's fine now. Don't worry."
Only then did Tang Chenya slowly recover her wits. She looked at Xu Jiangyu, smiled sheepishly, and said, "Thank you, Xu Jiangyu. My sleeping posture just now was truly hideous, and I brought this suffering on myself."
Xu Jiangyu smiled and shook his head, saying, "It's fine. Just be a bit more careful from now on."
Tang Chenya nodded, feeling a warmth spread through her heart...
