Night fell like ink, and the bright moonlight streamed through the carved window lattices, casting mottled light and shadow upon the floor. A slender figure moved quietly through the living room. Her face was as exquisite as a painting, her brows like distant mountains kissed by mist, her eyes like autumn waters holding frost, her nose straight and refined, and her lips as pale as cherry petals. Yet most striking of all was the cinnabar mole between her brows, which was now radiating an eerie red glow. This female was none other than Ye Youning. Ye Youning wore a plain white long dress, the hem embroidered with delicate crystal patterns that swayed gently with her steps, emitting a faint blue halo like a flowing river of stars in the night sky. Her figure was as slender as a willow, her bones small and delicate, as though a mere breeze could sweep her away. Yet every step she took was as light as a feather; whenever the tips of her toes touched the ground, a crystal-clear ice lotus would bloom, with ancient runes faintly visible swirling upon its petals.
