"Just for a quarter of an hour." Ye Youning lay quietly beside Ye Feng, a storm of thoughts raging in her heart. Even she herself could not articulate what exactly she was feeling. There had been a time when she would have paid the price with her very life just for a chance to see Ye Feng; there had been a time when she traversed countless realms, fearing no hardship or danger, solely to track him down. Yet, when she truly stood before Ye Feng, she lost the courage to reveal her identity. Ye Feng surely didn't dislike her. After all, he had carefully placed the candy wrapper she had secretly left on the table right beside his pillow. Even so, timidity gripped Ye Youning's heart, leaving her too afraid to confess who she was. "Next time... next time for sure..." Her murmur was as faint as a gossamer thread, seeming as though she spoke it to Ye Feng, or perhaps as though she were simply psyching herself up. Then, she curled herself up to the size of a kitten, her forehead resting gently against Ye Feng's warm spine. The subtle, elegant cedar scent in her hair intertwined with the crisp fragrance of the mint shampoo he habitually used, weaving together in the narrow space to brew a slightly intoxicating aura.
