The atmosphere permeating the surroundings was like a bizarre broth meticulously concocted from decay and mystery, as if the heavy dust of ages had congealed right here. With every breath, one could sense the profound and arcane scent of deep history. The strange patterns on the walls seemed imbued with a sort of malevolent life, wantonly twisting and shifting in the flickering shadows as though struggling to break free from the shackles of time to whisper untold secrets to the company. Meanwhile, the runes that had once emitted a faint glow grew even dimmer now, yet would occasionally flash with an eerie, glaring brilliance—resembling malicious eyes hidden within the darkness, coldly watching them and issuing a stern warning not to press onward rashly. Halfway through their journey, a hazy mist abruptly appeared ahead. The mist presented a dreamy yet chilling shade of purple, looking like an ominous portent rising from the depths of the netherworld. Within the mist, indistinct phantoms flickered intermittently like ghosts drifting through the void. These phantoms took countless forms: some resembled the ferocious and tyrannical Demon Gods of ancient legend, radiating an aura of destruction, baring fangs and brandishing claws as if to tear everything in the world to shreds; others resembled sorrowful, hauntingly beautiful women whose figures hovered between visibility …
