Crisis Strikes and the Guardian Spirit of the Ruins
As the crystal light flickered frantically, the entire space seemed like a calm lake struck by a giant boulder, instantly boiling over. A low, intimidating roar rolled forth as if from an ancient abyss; it was a sound capable of shaking the soul, as though an immemorially slumbering behemoth had been abruptly startled awake. Immediately afterward, a Guardian Spirit, its physique towering like a mountain peak, slowly emerged from beneath the stone platform. Its entire body was wreathed in a dreamlike, translucent blue glow, within which runic symbols faintly shifted and flowed, emitting a mysterious and formidable aura that pressed down upon everyone like a rising tide of physical weight.
The appearance of this Guardian Spirit was extraordinarily bizarre, resembling a dragon yet not quite a dragon, like a Qilin yet not quite a Qilin. It possessed a pair of immensely huge wings that, when spread out, almost covered half the space like two clouds blotting out the sky. Its eyes were like twin suns burning with dim blue flames, their gaze ice-cold and piercing as they stared unblinkingly at the group, filled with vigilance and unmasked hostility, as if everyone present were its irreconcilable enemy.
