Chapter 90: Raging Seas and Hidden Undercurrents
Lin Yu, Zhao Hu, and Su Yao hurriedly leaped into the small boat. The sea had transformed into a terrifying purgatory. The Gale roared like a mad beast, emitting a deafening sound as if it intended to drag all creation into its fury. Surging billows, like enraged giant beasts, continuously slammed against the boat with overwhelming momentum. Waves tens of feet high loomed like massive walls of water, crashing down from above with a majestic force that seemed determined to mercilessly swallow them along with their tiny vessel.
Lin Yu reacted swiftly, gripping the oars tightly with both hands and putting his entire strength into rowing, attempting to find a shred of balance for the boat amidst the churning sea as he struggled forward. Zhao Hu and Su Yao did not dare to relax in the slightest, assisting Lin Yu in stabilizing the violently rocking hull while keeping a vigilant watch for dangers that could emerge from anywhere at any moment. Yet, even with the three of them working in tacit cooperation and giving it everything they had, the little boat remained as fragile as a candle in the wind under the relentless onslaught of the giant waves, pitching and rolling violently between the peaks and troughs of the waves as if it might be mercilessly crushed by the ocean at any second.
