Early in the morning, while fetching water at Bibo Spring, Fang Yi encountered a cute and clever little monkey.
The little monkey constantly imitated Fang Yi's various movements, filling Fang Yi with joy. However, as he carried his shoulder pole back toward Jincan Temple, he noticed that the little monkey followed him the entire way. Although he tried to scare it off several times, the little monkey refused to retreat.
Yet, by the time they reached the mountain gate of Jincan Temple, Fang Yi turned back to look, but the little monkey had already vanished without a trace. Perhaps the little monkey was afraid of seeing more humans and had therefore run away.
