Before they even had a chance to properly rest, the emergency communication channel of the Interstellar Alliance received a distress signal from a distant galaxy. The signal was intermittent and blurry, but the despair and anxiety within it were palpable. The sender stated that their planet was being invaded by a mysterious alien species. These creatures were extremely aggressive and adaptable, leaving a trail of destroyed cities and devoured lives in their wake.
Without a moment's hesitation, Ava and Xavier rapidly assembled the Interstellar Alliance's most elite combat forces and researchers, boarded the upgraded flagship Wings of Justice, and sped toward the source of the distress signal. Along the way, they used the intelligence network of the Interstellar Alliance to gather as much information as possible about these mysterious alien creatures, but aside from the few sparse words in the distress signal, they came up almost empty-handed.
When the fleet arrived at the target galaxy, the scene before them was heartbreaking. The once-beautiful planet was now scarred and devastated, large swathes of land covered in black matter, and the ruins of cities filled with pungent smoke.
