Every breath felt tangible, and the muddy ground beneath their feet made every step an effort, their boot soles rubbing against the soil with a muffled sound. Alice frowned. Her already tight leather jacket was now soaked through by the mist, clinging even closer to her body and outlining her exquisite curves. She instinctively drew closer to Lin Xiu, her short blades ready at a moment's notice to handle any sudden danger. "This place is feeling more and more wrong," she murmured, her voice carrying a faint echo through the mist.
