Behind the warm, yellowish curtains, Uesugi Etsu was alone, tidying up the food counter and washing the bowls, chopsticks, cups, and spoons left behind by his customers. Two figures walked slowly from the end of the long street, seemingly engaged in a continuous conversation. As they drew closer and closer to the ramen stall, their voices grew louder.
