Chapter 45: The Lionheart Society In the center of the solemn hall stood a long table made of African teak, flanked by twenty-eight chairs arranged in parallel rows. At the head of the table sat a young man with chiseled, knife-like features, while behind him hung a fireplace topped with a wall scroll bearing the character for "Lion" in wild, cursive calligraphy. This was the Lionheart Society, the strongest brotherhood in the Secret Party of Cassel College after the defunct Order of the Rose+Croix, and the oldest student organization in the entire academy, bar none.
