This Dahuang Purgatory had been proposed by Beigong Yu back when Lu Xiaoyao was helping upgrade the Myriad Realms Tower.
The idea was that one day, if any disciple of the Dahuang Dao Sect committed a transgression, they would be sent into the Dahuang Purgatory to reflect on their errors.
