"Hmm?"
Xiao Guifang paused for a moment, looking at Lu Jinse. "Why did they all leave?"
Lu Jinse stepped away from the doorway. "Lili and Auntie had a bit of a spat just now, so they all said their goodbyes and went home."
She had been quietly watching the show the whole time.
*Heh*, Lu Lili finally cracked.
Still lacked the composure.
And this was just the beginning.
The real breaking point was yet to come.
...
Xiao Guifang asked anxiously, "Did they leave because they were angry?"
"Auntie, they weren't angry, just not in the best of moods," Lu Jinse explained.
"Sigh!" Xiao Guifang wore a troubled expression. "How could they not be angry? They were just chatting and then a row broke out. They usually get along quite well and always joke around, but Lili just didn't want to hear it. Her temper is really too poor."
Lu Jianliang walked out of the bedroom. "Guifang, don't be upset. It will be better once Lili gets married; she’s just a bit hot-headed right now." He comforted her in a calm, steady voice.
Xiao Guifang furrowed her brows. "Jinse is the same age as her, yet she is so calm and dignified. Lili is just too rash; she offended all the neighbors today."
Lu Jinse said, "Auntie, actually, my temper isn't great either. Sometimes I lose it too."
"Jinse, your personality is so good—if you lose your temper, it’s definitely someone else's fault. I'm getting a headache from Lili. I'm going to go lie down for a while."
Xiao Guifang found an excuse and returned to her room.
