The felt curtain of the side tent was violently ripped open, and the cold wind laden with ice pellets poured in, slamming against Qin Lie's face with a bone-chilling frost. Two guards in silver armor stood expressionless at the entrance, their eyes like those watching over a hardened criminal. "Young Lord, if you please." The leading guard spoke in a flat, monotonous tone. "The Madam requests your presence to take a look at the Second Young Lord." Crouched within the thin pile of dry straw, Qin Lie's body tensed imperceptibly for a fraction of a second before relaxing, emitting a painful, feeble groan. Struggling, he used his uninjured left arm to push himself up, his movements clumsy and sluggish like a dismantled puppet.
