It is often said that the gates of a government office face south, but if you have logic but no money, it is best not to enter. Under normal circumstances, the common people steer clear of such places. However, today, an old man of about fifty, accompanied by a boy of eleven or twelve, lingered outside the Yingtian Prefecture government office. From time to time, they peered inside, as if they had some urgent matter to attend to. The bailiffs initially ignored them, but as the pair refused to leave for a long while, they eventually lost patience and stepped forward to question them. The response they received, however, sent a cold shiver down their spines.
